The Department of Health has opened a new grant for early years projects. See below for information.

 

The Department of Health has opened its longstanding Training Support Fund for the voluntary and community sector to:

  • applications from registered early years/childcare providers in the voluntary and community sector
  • whose managers and deputy managers have been in post since at least March 1st 2017
  • and who are currently non-compliant with the requirement to have completed at QCF Level 5 Diploma in Child Care, Learning and Development or Playwork.

Please note that applications for funding from the Training Support Programme 2017/18 must be submitted by email to the Office of Social Services, oss@health-ni.gov.uk by Friday 5 May 2017.

State of the Sector

Workshops for the important State of the Sector report are going well. Each setting in the region and relevant stakeholders will have a survey to fill out. Responses up to now are giving an interesting and insightful picture of the sector.
